Stereolithography - Rapid Prototyping
Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing is a process where a UV laser beam traces a 2D cross-section of a 3D model on the surface of a vat filled with liquid photopolymer resin. The resin exposed to the laser light solidifies, creating the first layer of the object. The build platform then lowers slightly, a fresh layer of resin is applied, and the process repeats, building the object layer by layer.
